Abdolnaser Hemmati, Central Bank of Iran's Governor, reported that 4 zeros will be removed from the national currency.

Hamid Reza Hajibabaei, Head of Velaei Fraction of Iran's Parliament, said during today's session in the fraction, Hemmati said 'there is no astray liquidity and also guidance of liquidity is meaningless. The liquidity of 1.7 quadrillion rials has lost 30 percent of its power because of inflation, that is why the central bank is going to eliminate 4 zeros from the national currency.

The decision should be taken soon and implemented. The elimination of four zeros means instead of saying 10,000 toman we say 10 toman.'

Central Bank of Iran's Governor stressed that banking system reform is being done quickly.
