IMF Releases its Prediction of Iran Economy

IMF predicted that Iran economy will shrink in 2018 and 2019.

IBENA- According to the latest report of International Monetary Fund called World Economic Outlook, Iran GDP's projection in 2018 is -1.5 percent, while it will be -3.6 percent in 2019 . Iran's GDP in 2017 had been estimated 3.7 percent by IMF.



Iran consumer price's prediction for the current year is 29.6 percent and it will increase to 34.1 percent in 2019, while it was 9.6 percent in 2017.



Regarding Iran's current account balance, IMF projected it 1.3 percent in 2018 and 0.3 percent in 2019. Iran's current account balance was estimated 2.2 percent in 2017.



Somewhere else, IMF in its report predicted Iran's unemployment rate in 2018 and 2019, 12.8 percent and 14.3 percent respectively, while it was estimated 11.8 percent in 2018.
