IBENA- Regarding legalization process of bitcoin mining activity and cryptocurrencies after being recognized it as an industry by the government, at the Seventh meeting of Central Council of Computer Guild System Organization Abolhassan Firouzabadi said required coordination has been done with related organizations for liberalizing import of bitcoin mining and other kinds of cryptocurrencies equipment, adding this news signifies the the government’s attention to the cryptocurrency.
The official stressed that there is a galloping progress in information technology and communications areas, therefore we should be always prepared to accept potential changes.
Secretary of Iran's Supreme Council of Cyberspace highlighted that software, hardware and platform are three major spheres in information technology and communications industries, so precise and cohesive structures are essential in those areas. Thus the National Center of Cyberspace is prepared to make a think tank to pursue private sector’s demand in information technology field in collaboration with the representative of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade as well as members of Guild System Organization as a representative of the private sector.
