According to IBENA, in an impeachment session held on Sunday morning, Iranian members of Parilament voted aganist Masoud Karbasia and dismissed him.
The most important reasons for the minister's impeachment were failure to implement the tax system fairly, non-enforcement of legal assignments in the field of banking activities and failure to provide necessary steps for organizing economy.
Out of 260 collected votes, 137 lawmakers voted against him with 121 members of parliament voted in favor of him, while 2 lawmakers abstained.
Karbasian is the second minister of economy in twelfth administration coudn't accompany the government. Iran's Parliament impeached Ali Rabei, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, on 17 Mordad (8 August).
It is worth mentioning that IBENA is an only specialized news agency in banking and economy area, which is affiliated to the Central Bank of Iran.
