Iranian Banks' Problems with World Is Two-Sided: CBI's Governor

Central Bank of Iran's Governor said Iranian banks' problems with the world is two-sided in a way that comes back to both America's measures and domestic banking system's failures.

Regarding the problem of Iranian banks relations with the world big banks which are still in its place, Valiollah Seif said if we want to make remarks in this area fairly, the problem is two-sided.



"On the one hand, the U.S.A. doesn't leave its hostility from us, taking advantage of each opportunity for obstructing, making panic and apprehensive foreign banks for having cooperation with Iranian ones. One the other hand, there are some problems in the country, adding our banking system doesn't correspond with modern standards of global banking system", he said.



The official mentioned financial standards, appropriate financial structures and operational standards should be provided and the Central Bank is trying to meet theses standards.
