Regarding inking Iran's ever biggest credit agreement with Italy, Mohammad Khazaei, Head of the Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance Organization of Iran, said the deal is the biggest one that Iran could sign with a European country, adding we inked several finance deals with some countries previously, but this agreement in comparison with others in terms of volume is bigger.
He went on to say that the agreement indicates two outstanding features; firstly, European countries' resolution and will to expand their relations and economic ties with us in particular Italy our friend and second message mirrors the Islamic Republic of Iran wants to establish diversification in economic relations with the world.
" Iran also is considering various markets to exploit them and European countries are as important as Asian nations to us", Khazaei said.
The official mentioned the deal had been under negotiations for a long time and then finalized and after I paid a visit to Pier Carlo Padoan, Italy's Economy Minister, the agreement was inked in the presence of his colleagues and Iranian authorities of banking network.
Mohammad Khazaei stated since a few months ago Iran's Central Bank and Investment Organization and Ministry of Economy started Iran-Italy credit deal 's negotiations and Bank of Industry and Mine and Middle East Bank signed the deal as two Iranian operating banks and it has been agreed other Iranian banks join the agreement.
Head of the Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance Organization of Iran expressed his hope that the agreement paves the way for both public and private sectors to use the financial resources in projects.
Khazaei stressed that the inking the deal in the current situation is very significant political and economic event, indicating European Union's serious determination to have cooperation with Iran and all benefit it.
