Iran National Development Fund to Allot $1.5bn to Rural Employment

Deputy of National Development Fund of the Islamic Republic of Iran said the allotment of $1.5bn to rural employment is awaiting the cooperation with banks.

Regarding the allotment of 1.5 billion dollars from National Development Fund's resources to rural employment, Alireza Salehi, Deputy of National Development Fund, stated that the project concerning rural employment has been approved by the government and Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is cooperating with banks about their capital and share to submit the project to National Development Fund after being finalized by Planning and Budget Organization.





Salehi added according to the government's act the share of banks shall announce to National Development Fund and it should be finalized in the current week.

He stressed that the board of trustees of National Development Fund have passed 1.5 billion USD allotment to rural employment, awaiting banking affairs cooperation.





Speaking about the government access to National Development Fund's resources, Salehi said the usage of National Development Fund's resources is forbidden to the government and facilities are given just to NGOs and private sectors and public NGOs can use up to 20% of the total resources.





Regarding budget assignment of the fund in Iranian current year, the official said the assignment is $2.3 bn and is paid monthly.
