Italian Banks En Route to Iran

Iran's Economy Minister expressed satisfaction toward the great talks between Iran and Italy, adding banking cooperation agreements will be signed by Iranian and Italian sides next week.

At a meeting with his Italian counterpart, Masoud karbasian, Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, who is in Washington to take part in the World Bank and International Monetary Fund Autumn Meeting, voiced the trade volume of Iran and Italy increased three-fold in the first half of 2017 from a year earlier, stressing the economic development between two nations is essential.





"Very good negotiations between two countries for launching credit lines have been done and we hope that the banking agreements will be inked next week", he said.





Karbasian stated the cooperation with Italy in various fields, in particular, steel and transportation industries can go up trade volumes.





Italian Minister of Economy, in his part, expressed that Italy is prepared for expanding bilateral cooperation in different sectors and also Italian companies are enthusiastic to have collaboration with Iranian side.





The official highlighted that financial cooperation between Iran and Italy can pave the path for technical collaboration between two countries.
