First Trilateral Deal Inked with Iranian Company

Iran's Ghadir Investment Holding signed an agreement with a Turkish and Russian companies to drill oil and gas, valuing at $7 billion.

Turkey’s Unit International Company has declared that it signed an agreement with Iran's Ghadir Investment Holding and Russia’s state-owned Zarubezhneft regarding oil and gas drilling in Iran, valuing at $7 billion.



Turkish company in a statement said that three companies have invested 7 billion USD in drilling including three oil fields and one big gas field in Iran.



“The total reserves of these three oil fields has been estimated 10 billion barrels, plus, their capacity will increases to 100 thousand barrels a daily average. Furthermore, the gas field’s annual production capacity is 75 billion cubic meters”, Unit International said.



This statement notes the consortium of these three companies can allow them to drill in other spots of Iran.



Turkey’s Unit International Company said the natural gas which is excavated from the drilling will be equal to 1.5 times the 50 billion cubic meters of Turkey’s per year gas imports. Added point, it can supply Turkey’s gas demand for the next 150 years.



Turkish company said all three companies have equal share and also it is the first trilateral agreement that an Iranian company inked with foreign partners.
