Valiollah Seif made the comment following a regular cabinet meeting in Tehran. "After a seal of approval by the lawmakers, the new bank notes in tomans will start being printed in a gradual process to replace the old ones which will be recalled and collected," he added.

Seif also touched on the issue of Caspian Credit Institution's case and the reimbursement of its clients. "The depositors with accounts up to 100 million tomans have already received assurances about their repayment scheme and the cases of the ones with higher deposits will be soon settled as well."

Seif also told reporters that there are three other similar institutions which have been closed down and decisions regarding how to address them will soon be announced.
