Gholam-Hossein Mohseni Ejei told IRIB news agency that deposits below 20 million tomans will be repaid by the Central Bank in its reimbursement plan.

“Caspian clients have deposited varying amounts ranging from one million tomans to billions…The Central Bank has also agreed to supply itself with a new credit source to gradually reimburse at a later stage the account holders whose deposits are beyond the mentioned range of 20 million tomans,” Ejei further said.

According to Ejei, Caspian was a joint venture of several corporations merged into the credit institution, which has now been obliged to supply credit and repay all the clients.

The judiciary official added that some level of mismanagement within the institution had resulted to dissatisfaction among the clients and made them file lawsuits, which are being currently processed by the judiciary.
