Speaking to IBNA correspondent, Abbas Memarnejad said about the importance of digital banking, "The economy is evolving, and the economic system must move to digitalization. The digital transformation program of banks is one of the most important pillars of economic transformation. Banks must take steps to create and implement digital banking and in this regard, the Ministry of Economy, by submitting a document to the banking system, seeks to monitor the faster and more accurate movement of digital banking in line with global models of the banking system."

Vice President of Stock Exchange, Bank, and Insurance of the Ministry of Economy added: Smart economy and digital transformation is a necessity for the country, which will be achieved with the development of information technology and the use of new technologies. One of the issues to be considered is the structural reform of the economic system, and the banking network is to move towards intelligence and transformation.

The new generation of the economy needs smart and agile banks

Referring to the planning and investment of banks to move to digital banking, he emphasized: "Currently, banks are taking steps to transition from e-banking to digital banking and offering new services. But the reality is that banks are not smart in the current situation, and they need to take the subject of intelligence seriously because the new generation of the economy needs smart, agile, and dynamic banks."

Memarnejad emphasized: "Banks are facing challenges in the transformation to digital banking and the implementation of smart services, which vary between public and private banks, and between small and large banks, which ultimately make all aspects of this sector a necessity."
