=The central bank report shows that Iran's external debt reached $9.339 billion at the end of Iranian fiscal year ending March 2019.
The country's short-term external debt totaled $7.18 billion as of the end of March this year and the rest totaling $2.15 billion is mid-term and long-term debts.
Iran’s potential commitment was placed at 8.23 billion Euros of which 6.33 billion Euros belongs to mid-term and long term debts and 1.86 billion Euros belongs to short term debts.
“At end-march2019, Iran’s external debt was placed at $9.3 billion, recording a decrease of $0.4 billion over its level at end-February 2019." the central bank said.
The central bank further said "At the end-March 2018, Iran’s external debt was placed at $11.3 billion, recording a decrease of USD 2 billion over its level during Iran’s fiscal year.”
